DISTRIBUTION in North Carolina: One old record, for Wake County. This is a northern species, ranging southward normally to southern Pennsylvania and southern Ohio.
ABUNDANCE in North Carolina: Accidental.
FLIGHT PERIOD in North Carolina: Not known in NC. As with the Mourning Cloak, adults overwinter, with one or two broods during the year.
