DISTRIBUTION in North Carolina: Restricted in NC to the mountains, where it apparently occurs throughout the province, at higher elevations (mainly over 4000 feet), but a few records below 3,000 feet.
ABUNDANCE in North Carolina: Rare, or at least seldom encountered; this is a real "prize" to find.
FLIGHT PERIOD in North Carolina: Two known broods; mid-April to mid- or late May and late June to early August. Most likely to be seen in the first ten days of July.
