DISTRIBUTION in North Carolina: This is an accidental visitor to NC, recorded only from two coastal counties (Carteret and Pender). It occurs primarily from coastal Georgia south through the Gulf States. It is expected to occur occasionally in NC, generally close to the coast.
ABUNDANCE in North Carolina: Casual or accidental stray.
FLIGHT PERIOD in North Carolina: The only dates available to NC Natural Heritage Program are 3 August 1997 and 20 August 2002. It is expected to occur mainly as a late summer or autumn stray.
